Display and Care Guide
for PatioPaintings

Care for PatioPaintings is very easy. The cleaner the paintings remain the better they will look! Since the paintings are gallery wrapped there are no frames or picture glass to keep clean! The paintings are designed for outdoor use and they may get dirty from the environment, and or things in the environment like smoke or birds. You can clean PatioPaintings with MILD soap and a soft rag, or even gently hose them down. Thanks to our "weathercrylic" treatment PatioPaintings are very durable, but here are a few special considerations you should keep in mind when caring for PatioPaintings.
  • PatioPaintings do well in the heat, but can suffer from extreme cold and freezing. When the temperature drops near or below freezing you should give your painting a warm spot in the house to sit out the cold snap.
  • PatioPaintings are water resistant, but not designed to stay in water for extended periods of time. They can take hours of rain, but keeping the painting submersed in water for an extended period of time may damage the painting. (Don't display it at the bottom of your pool!)
  • Like any other object, years of exposure to DIRECT sunlight can fade the colors of a PatioPainting. It is best to display the painting in a place where it will get some shade throughout the day.
  • PatioPaintings are tough, but not impervious to everything. Here is a list of some things to avoid:
    • Fire
    • Freezing
    • Chemical Spills
    • Strong Cleaning Fluids
    • Punctures
    • Rips
(Before cleaning the entire painting, it is best to clean a small patch on the back or an edge of the painting that is not seen to make sure the soap or detergent will not damage the painting.)
